Richard Dunwoody

Richard Dunwoody

One of Britain’s most successful jockeys, Richard was at the forefront of English National Hunt racing in the 80s and 90s, winning The Grand National, The Champion Hurdle and Cheltenham Gold Cup. Retiring due to injury in 1999, he had won a record 1,699 winners and endured 672 falls. He was awarded the MBE for sporting greatness. Damon Hill became Formula One World Champion in 1996 and was BBC Sports Personality of the year twice before being awarded the OBE in 1997.
