Build A Bike is a creative team building event that provides teams with a fun opportunity to work together whilst enabling them to create and produce a range of real bikes for donation to a worthy children’s project in the local community.
This imaginative event has so much to offer as teams initially launch into a number of creative team work challenges designed to get participants working together to earn Challenge Tokens within an allotted time. The more challenges that they successfully complete, the more tokens they will earn and be able to exchange for a brand new ‘boxed’ bike available from our bike shop.
With a wide range of team challenges to complete, that could involve anything from identifying famous landmarks to building a crazy vehicle from junk, teams will need to work together to plan their strategy to earn the most tokens
Challenges completed, teams are given a chance to choose which bike they would like to build from the selection offered. Teams with the most tokens choose first until all the bikes have been allocated.
This then commences the building stage of the event and under the watchful eye of our resident ‘Bike Expert’, teams will build the bikes and prepare the accessories that accompany each bike (helmet, backpack and lock).
At the end of the activity, the team’s completed bikes will be donated to a local community organisation supporting local kids, and the teams will hear how their efforts will benefit the chosen project. If booked well in advance and if the timings work, we can get the kids to come along to the event to collect their bikes in person.
