After bringing the GB squad home from China with eight golds, Dave repeated the feat in London – the only country to win in more than one event. He also led Bradley Wiggins to victory in the Tour de France. In presentations he explains that motivation comes from within: “You can’t make winners, but you can help them focus and optimise their natural talent.” Leaders have to learn to deal with different people, and push for marginal improvements in every area.
